With Gratitude

My work brings me into my clients’ beautiful homes but I also find real joy from helping and working with my wonderful clients. To honor and thank each client and every person who has referred business to me, I donate to charities each year to express both my gratitude to them and to help someone, somewhere in the world who is in need.

In 2018, we will help the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank continue their good work. The Food Bank helps 225,000 of our neighbors fight hunger and they do so with commitment and innovation. It is a hard-to-handle fact that in our community of world-class restaurants, one in four residents needs food assistance. The Food Bank is a vital lifeline. By distributing fresh produce and other nutritious food to those in need, the Food Bank makes it possible for children to learn, adults to focus on work and family, and for seniors to remain active and healthy.

2017 | Building a Health Clinic in Zambia | World Connect

In 2017, we will be converting an existing house in Musungu, into a small health clinic, making use of the home’s many rooms to serve as miniature wards, waiting rooms and meeting spaces. Musungu has a large population that is geographically isolated and, therefore, far from services. The nearest health clinic is a great distance away and residents must make considerable journeys to receive medical care, often 20 kilometers or more. The project also calls for a devoted pediatric ward in the construction plans to serve the area’s infants and young children, a population group facing high mortality.

2016 | Bringing Solar Electricity to a Senegalese Health Post | World Connect

In 2016, we installed solar electricity panels at the Missira Dantila Health Post in Senegal, allowing the nurses and midwives to provide care at any hour of the day.

These opportunities are made possible by World Connect, a charity started by a client. World Connect invests in and builds dynamic relationships and partnerships at the grassroots in the developing world, catalyzing local knowledge and initiative, and supporting women and communities to prioritize and tackle their own development challenges in their own unique ways. Compass Community Fund

Through volunteering and charitable donations, I actively support local organizations in their efforts to improve the City and the living conditions of others.

I donate a portion of every one of my sales to the Compass Community Fund that distributes money to a variety of worthy organizations who make a positive difference in our community – from shelters to school arts programs, from food drives to counseling. Since 2004, the Compass Community Fund has provided over $650,000 in donations to over 100 local organizations, including:
