Maureen made the whole process from start to finish as painless as possible, and she most definitely exceeded our expectations with the final results. We are so impressed with her professionalism and hard work.
I would like to speak about Maureen Terris, a broker at Paragon Reality, and why I would very highly recommend signing on with her. Maureen’s hard work, vision, knowledge of the San Francisco housing market and what it takes to sell a home here, and her commitment to excellence, truly mark her as a pro’s pro. I have had the opportunity, in my line of business, to work with quite a few real estate agents over the last couple of decades and I can assure anyone who might be considering Maureen’s services that they would not find a better broker anywhere. Not only did she meet every expectation, but she exceeded most. Without a doubt in my mind, you will be in great hands with Maureen.
When my wife and I decided to sell our home after 19 years we interviewed quite a few brokers. Most were well established San Francisco realtors with old and prominent brokerage houses. Just about all of them were not very optimistic or encouraging about the local market and recommended listing prices well below what we thought our home was worth, even in these times. Maureen was the only broker we interviewed who did not subscribe to the “gloom and doom” mentality of the others we spoke with. She believed we could, and should, list at a price that was more in line with our reckoning, and backed it up with articles, analysis and statistics showing that the SF housing market was not as bad as all the others believed. In fact, one of the first things that impressed me was when she said that if our home did not go into contract within the first two weeks, she was not doing her job.
Signing on with Maureen turned out to be one of the best decisions my wife and I have made. We spent over two months preparing the house as per her vision and recommendations. At times I was very skeptical about some of those recommendations, especially when it came to spending money on staging. As most homeowners, we thought our home looked great and did not need any “fixing up.” Also, I had had a couple of bad experiences with stagers in the past and was very reluctant to spend anything on a house I thought didn’t need it. Maureen prevailed upon us that although the house looked great, it did need to be polished up to appeal to the widest range of potential buyers. At the end of the day, she was right on.
To sum up, we went into contract March 6th, ten days after the house was listed on the MLS. We had five offers, and after spending 2-3 hours discussing our options, accepted an offer that was almost 10% above our asking price. We close escrow on March 31st. This speaks for itself! Maureen made the whole process from start to finish as painless as possible, and she most definitely exceeded our expectations with the final results. We are so impressed with her professionalism and hard work. Last but not least, she is truly a wonderful person. To say I highly recommend Maureen is to put it mildly. You will leave a lot on the table if you do not sign with her.
